The Lancashire Tourism Awards is the biggest and only county-wide celebration of tourism excellence in Lancashire. Prior to the pandemic, the visitor economy in Lancashire was worth £4.4 billion and attracted over 68 million visitors to Lancashire each year supporting over 60,000 jobs. As we start to return to pre-pandemic operation, these awards celebrate the resilience of the tourism sector in Lancashire as the industry redefines itself to deliver exceptional visitor experiences and build on previous visitor numbers.
The awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of visitor economy businesses, revealing the brightest and best stars working in Lancashire tourism today, with many of the county’s winners then going on to represent Lancashire at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Marketing Lancashire and the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) have today (Thursday 12 January) announced the shortlist for the brand new Hospitality and Tourism Student of the Year award which will form part of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2022 to be held on February 7 2023.
